Birthdays/Celebrations/Holidays
Sunshine Child Development Center celebrates the children’s birthdays in age-appropriate ways within the classroom. The birthday celebration is purposely kept simple and child centered.
Our goal is to help your child establish lifelong habits of healthy eating patterns and regular physical activity. By establishing healthy habits early in life, children can dramatically reduce their health risks and increase their chance for longer, more productive lives. Please join us in creating opportunities for your child to make healthy food choices.
The goal is not to eliminate all treats, but to make sure they are eaten in moderation and do not become the primary focus of parties or celebrations. The focus should be on fun and not on food. The list below provides healthy suggestions for celebrations.
Healthier Food Options
All items must be store bought, labeled with ingredients and nut free. You may bring in purchased ingredients for the children to create their own snacks. These will be served during afternoon snack and parents are welcome to join the children.
Non-food treats
· Stickers
· Bubbles
· Party hats
· Small pack of crayons
· Rubber stamps
· Plan and provide a special craft project for child’s class
· Birthday banner with your child’s name on it
· Donate or lend a special book to be read during the day. Make it even more special by coming to your child’s class to read the story
Please give us a call at (401)294-3510 and ask for Deb our enrollment specialist, or email dwronkowski@sunshinecdc.com. We are currently maintaining a waitlist for all age groups. You will be offered a tour of our facility once we know there will be space available.
Our tuition and fees are based on research, offering competitive prices for nationally recognized programming. We are proud to provide a very high quality curriculum and education for our students. We have excellent child-to-teacher ratios, highly qualified staff and up to date materials and classrooms. Choose from several payment options, ACH, Credit Card (7% fee) or Cash, to find the one that's most convenient for you. Choose from monthly and weekly plans. All payments are made in advance for the following week of care. We accept Childcare Aware of America, and CCAP benefits.
We encourage all families to participate in our program! Please connect with your child's teachers to determine when is a good time to come in and observe or participate in our daily activities. We love special guest readers, and fun crafts to do together!
Each child is set up with a ProCare account. You will receive ongoing and end-of-day updates through the app. Updates include, mealtimes, diapers, nap, and fun pictures of your child and their activities! You can find each classroom's weekly curriculum posted in their room on their parent board.
